\u2018Indian Summer\u2019 combines three strong features:<\/p>\n

    It is a cultivar that has presence without being showy: perfect to structure a scene near a terrace, at the edge of a woodland planting, or at the back of a border.<\/p>\n

        \u2018Indian Summer\u2019 is presented as a German selection, discovered at Baumschule Nielsen (Soltau) from a seedling of Acer japonicum \u2018Aconitifolium\u2019. Descriptions agree that, despite this parentage, its leaves are less deeply cut than \u2018Aconitifolium\u2019, closer to a vitifolium type.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

        \u2018Indian Summer\u2019 is a remarkable Acer japonicum with very large \u201cfull moon\u201d leaves, deep green in summer. Its standout feature is the summer flush: new growth can emerge pink to reddish, creating a beautiful contrast with the mature foliage. In autumn, the display becomes very bright: vivid yellows mixed with orange and red.
