It is also appreciated for its performance in oceanic climates and its ability, over the years, to form a beautiful, well-branched small tree.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1186\">Colours<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1188\" data-end=\"1371\">\n<li data-start=\"1188\" data-end=\"1243\">\n<p data-start=\"1190\" data-end=\"1243\"><strong>Spring<\/strong> : purple-red (often glossy).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1244\" data-end=\"1329\">\n<p data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1329\"><strong>Summer<\/strong> : very dark maroon (can appear almost black in gentle full sun).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1371\">\n<p data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1371\"><strong>Autumn<\/strong> : bright red \/ crimson.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1373\" data-end=\"1391\">Habit &amp; vigour<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1393\" data-end=\"1572\">Vase-shaped when young, becoming more spreading and rounded with age.
