    Kumoi nishiki

‘Kumoi nishiki’ is a variegated “full moon” type maple, valued for its very stable cream-on-green mosaic throughout the season. Budbreak can be pale, sometimes pink-tinged, then the foliage turns green speckled with cream; autumn generally shifts to yellow to orange tones. Upright silhouette, particularly interesting in a container or in a carefully chosen spot in the garden.

    Seki no kegon

‘Seki no kegon’ is a rare Acer sieboldianum, remarkable for its weeping habit and its large, rounded palmate leaves (7 to 9 lobes), which is unusual among cascading Japanese maples that are often much more finely cut. The foliage stays green from spring to summer, then the tree delivers a very decorative autumn show in yellow, orange and red. A collector’s variety, ideal as a specimen or in a large container, with excellent cold hardiness.

    Sode no uchi

‘Sode no uchi’ is an Acer sieboldianum known for its excellent cold hardiness and foliage that is noticeably smaller than the average “full moon” maple (a fine, delicate look). Light green in spring, it becomes green in summer, then lights up in autumn with a yellow phase, often followed by orange and red tones. An ideal variety for cool-climate gardens, and very interesting in a large container or for bonsai training.
